Shrewsbury – Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services, Inc. (SYFS), the town of Shrewsbury's only private, nonprofit community counseling and social services agency, held its ninth annual and special 30th anniversary gala Feb. 23 at St. John's High School. ?Honorees included Robert “Bob” Paul Jacques, a founding member who?was honored with the 2013 Harry S. Cutting, Jr. Award, and Shrewsbury teens Kristen Grip, Nick Silverio, Aaron Hayden, and Jennifer Tylock, who received 2013 Outstanding Youth of Shrewsbury awards.
The event was catered by Pepper's Fine Catering, and the Shrewsbury High School Jazz Combo provided music. A diamond pendant from Sachs Jewelers was also raffled, while a live and silent auction featured a BMX mountain bike, and tickets to a Boston Bruins-Montreal Canadiens game and P!nk concert, among others.
