Northborough – The Northborough Rotary Club honored Police Chief Mark Leahy with the Pride in Workmanship Award at a special evening meeting Oct. 10 at Juniper Hill Golf Club.

This annual award is presented to a community member who has taken great pride in performing their chosen line of work. Emphasis is placed on “doing a good job” in a knowledgeable and dedicated manner.

One recommendation cited Chief Leahy's management of a great department and appreciation for the public service the department gives the town. Another comment spoke to his dedication to his job as well as the town, noting “he runs a very professional team.”
