Obit Deolinda P. LouraHudson – Deolinda P. (Braga) Loura, 87, of Hudson, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, at Marlborough Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Manuel A. Loura, who died in 2009.

Deolinda was born and raised in Santa Maria, the Azores of Portugal, daughter of the late Antonio and Antonia (Braga) Cabral. She emigrated to Hudson from Portugal in 1967 and took great pride in raising her family in Hudson.

She was employed for many years by the Thomas Taylor and Sons Co. in Hudson until she retired at age 62 to care for her grandchildren.

Deolinda always looked forward to making frequent trips back to Santa Maria with her husband and family, and also cherished the many trips to Canada to visit with her daughter and family. She will always be remembered as an unselfish, caring and very loving person by all who knew and loved her. She was a longtime member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.

She is survived by her children, Tony Loura and his wife Almerinda of Hudson, Armenia Camara and her husband Angelo of Canada, John Loura and his wife Maria of Hudson, and Fatima Monteiro and her husband Tony of Hudson. She was predeceased by her son, Jose Loura, in 2000 and her daughter, Marylou Costa, in 1994. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Christine Correia, Michelle Andrade, Lisa, Jeff and Marcie Camara, Mark and Derek Loura, Scotty and Lindsay Monteiro, Randy, and Ryan and Shaun Costa; her seven adoring great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Jose, Manuel, Antonio and Maria Cabral, and Angelina Carvalho.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 6, at 9 a.m., in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery. Family and friends may attend calling hours Friday, Sept. 5, from 5-8 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.
