To the Editor:
The Gymnastics Learning Center opened for business in Shrewsbury more than 30 years ago in 1983. During the past three decades, we have been privileged to train thousands of Shrewsbury children age 15 months through high school in our gymnastics programs. We have also educated numerous children in our God’s Little Children Preschool and Kindergarten, the only nationally accredited program in the town of Shrewsbury. In addition, GLC has hosted a Special Olympics Program for developmentally disabled children for the past 20 years and we are honored to donate our facilities to these extraordinary children.
In this special issue of the Community Advocate focusing on the town of Shrewsbury, we would like take an opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of the many Shrewsbury residents who have entrusted their children to GLC over the past 30 years. We treasure each child who walks through our doors as a special blessing, and we are committed to our mission of helping students maximize their individual potential by “Building the Pride Inside.”
Thank you also to the many Shrewsbury residents who have generously contributed to the numerous fundraisers for charity that GLC sponsors each year: Breathe Deep Cancer Fund Walk, St. Jude, Toys for Tots Toy Drive, Operation Christmas Child and the Worcester County Food Drive. Thanks to your donations, we have raised significant funds for life-threatening diseases, and we have spread joy to needy children all around the world. The Community Advocate has always participated in our fundraising efforts by publicizing these events free of charge and we are most grateful for their commitment to charity. Throughout our 30 years in Shrewsbury, residents have always shown compassion and willingness to help both neighbors and complete strangers, proving that Shrewsbury is an outstanding town and wonderful place to live.
Very truly yours,
