Hudson/Marlborough – This season the River’s Edge Arts Alliance is working diligently to share their work with others by practicing compassion through the arts. “Walk in My Shoes” is a community art project to help bring awareness to needs in the community. Participants will design and decorate a pair of shoes. One or more pairs of shoes may be entered. Shoes must be new and never worn but size and type of shoe is participant’s choice. Artwork submission deadline is Friday, Oct. 24, but early submissions are encouraged. Shoes will be donated to the River’s Edge Arts Alliance to be displayed and included in the silent auction at the Cabaret for Compassion Saturday, Nov. 8. Proceeds of the auctioned shoes will go toward local nonprofit organizations including the Hudson Food Pantry, Andrew’s Helpful Hands, ARC, Darnell School and OARS.

Register for this project by Wednesday, Oct. 1. There is no entry fee, however project donations are welcome. For more information and an application, visit upwitharts.org.
