Obit Antoinette R. BryzgisMarlborough – Antoinette (Maurice) Bryzgis (Bridges), 93, of Marlborough, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014 at Marlborough Hills HealthCare Center.

Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Celina (St. Martin) Maurice and the wife of the late Stanley Bryzgis (Bridges), who died in 1979.

She had been employed for many years at the B.A. Corbin Shoe and Frye Boot Companies. She was also employed at Marlborough Hospital, where she was the recipient of the employee of the month, as well as employee of the year awards. She retired after 15 years of service.

She had been a member of the former St. Mary’s Parish and the Assumption Guild, donating her time to the parish wherever it was needed.

Lovingly known as Auntie Net, she is survived by her nieces and nephews, Joyce St. Hilaire, whom she raised, and her husband Wayne of Maine and Peg Cahill of Marlborough; her nephews, Nelson Maurice and his wife Ivy of Connecticut, Roland Maurice of Marlborough, Edgar Maurice and his wife Shirley of Florida, Philip Maurice and his wife Claire of Marlborough and Florida, James Gour of Marlborough, and Philip Gour of S. Yarmouth, as well as many grandnieces and grandnephews. She is also survived by her special and caring friend, Diane Spirio and her husband Dave of Marlborough. She was also the sister of the late Adelard and Wilrose “Dick” Maurice and Margaret Gour.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 5-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 11 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beach Street, Marlborough.
