Obit Stella CoxMarlborough – Stella I. “Stella Bella” (Ordway) Cox, 88, of Marlborough, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 at the Meadows, Leicester. Born and raised in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Perley Ordway Sr. and Annette (LeDuc) Ordway.

She had been employed by Data General in the Media Software department for many years. Following her retirement in 1991, her life revolved around her family.

She was never without her camera, watched every televised Red Sox or Patriots game, and was a fixture at the Grafton Flea Market, where she was always first in line to set out her items.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne Dow and his wife Oy of Bossier City, La. and Dennis Dow of Worcester; her daughter, Brenda Verge and her husband Daniel of Auburn; her brothers and sisters, Perley Jr., Billy, Bobby, and Charlie Ordway, Shirley Elder, and Mamie Shea; her grandchildren, Matthew Dow, Lisa Dow-McLachlen and her husband Paul, Nicole Polissack, Gretchen-Jean Housammann, Amanda Housammann, Sarah Housammann, Hannah Annette Coty, and Sevrina Dow; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Gloria Moffa, Phyllis Richards, and Annette and Leslie Ordway.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, March 5, from 5-8 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 6, at 10 a.m., at St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.
