Obit Gail GarciaHudson – Gail E. Garcia, 75, of Hudson, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015, with her loving family by her side, at Saint Francis Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Worcester. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Joseph P. Garcia of Hudson.

Gail was born and raised in Marlborough, daughter of the late William and Lena (Gaudette) Taylor. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Marlborough High School. She has been a longtime resident of Hudson and took great pride in raising her family there along with her husband Joseph.

Gail had many interests in her life and truly loved the role of mother and later grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and arts and crafts in her spare time. She always looked forward to trips they would take to Cape Cod and also loved accompanying and assisting her sister Carole with photographing many seasonal horse shows. Most of all, she cherished the time she shared with her family. She will be remembered always and truly missed.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her four children, Catherine Gould and her husband Michael of Hudson, Sharon Garcia of Spencer, Andrew Garcia and his wife Laura of Tampa, Fla. and Jo-Ellen Garcia of Marlborough. She is also survived by her sister, Carole MacDonald of Westborough; her 12 grandchildren, Michael and Samantha Gould, Nicholas, Nathaniel and Robert Dostler, Gracyn Garcia, Gabrielle and Audrey Garcia, Phillip Beadie, Kimberly Gabriella, and Joseph and Christopher Geary; and her great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Al, William, and Barbara.

A service to celebrate Gail’s life will be held Saturday, April 25, at 12 p.m., in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson. Calling hours will be held Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to noon, prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial services will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gail may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts and New Hampshire Chapter, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
