Grafton – Stephen P. L’Esperance, of Grafton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 24, 2015 at age 26.
He was born March 5, 1989 to Peter and Joanne L’Esperance. Stephen was the loving brother of Laura Cole and her husband Alex Cole. He also loved his two dogs, Chloe and Hank. Stephen lives on through his mother, father, sister, brother-in-law, grandmother, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Stephen graduated from Grafton High School in 2007 and completed coursework at Quinsigamond Community College. A lifelong Boston Celtics fan, Stephen excelled at basketball from a young age and played throughout high school and beyond. He was a member of the 2007 Grafton High School basketball team that won the SWCL East Championship.
Stephen attended the Boylston Police Academy and worked as a security guard at G4S and as a patrol officer at Framingham State University.
Among his many hobbies, Stephen enjoyed snowboarding, baseball, skateboarding, music, and spending time with friends and family. His infectious smile, kindness, and steadfast devotion will be missed by the many lives he touched.
All are invited to calling hours Friday, May 29, from 4-8 p.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated for Stephen Saturday, May 30, at 11 a.m., at St. Phillip’s Church, 12 West St., Grafton. All attending the funeral service are politely requested to go directly to the church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Grafton.
