Westborough – Police Chief Alan Gordon released this statement this afternoon:
On 9/14/15, the Westborough Police investigated a house break on Nottingham Rd. where 2 handguns and 5 rifles along with a large amount of ammunition plus jewelry was stolen.
On 9/16/15, the Worcester Police responded to CVS at 500 Grafton St. for a medical emergency. They located a subject by the name of Michael Ostaski, age 33 of 2 Simon Dr. Milford. He was treated by Worcester EMS. While searching for identification, Worcester Officers located two handguns and assorted jewelry in Otaski’s backpack. The handguns and jewelry were identified as having been stolen in Westborough’s break. Otaski was arrested by the Worcester Police and charged with receiving stolen property along with other outstanding warrants. Charges will be sought against him from Westborough District Court in regards to the Westborough break.
There are still 5 rifles and ammunition that were stolen that have not been recovered.
