Hudson – The Hudson Rotary Club President Greg Parker presented longtime Rotarian Herbert “Skip” Conrad with a plaque honoring him for his 45 years of dedicated service. The club announced that they are naming the scholarship awarded to a senior at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School (AVRTHS) the Herbert “Skip” Conrad Scholarship. Conrad has organized the club’s Lucky Duck Race – raising the funds necessary to award five scholarships -for many years. In addition, this recognition is fitting as Conrad worked on building AVRTHS during the early 1970s.

The Hudson Rotary Club meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday evenings at the Hudson Portuguese Club, 13 Port St., for education, service and fellowship. To learn more, visit www.hudsonrotary.com or follow them on Twitter @HudsonMARotary.
