North Grafton – Patricia Ann (Boyden) Smith, 72, of North Grafton, daughter of the late James and Rita (Dore) Boyden and 56-year resident of Westborough, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, David F. Smith, and her son Scott Smith, his wife Beth, and her daughter, Amy Smith and her husband, John Ayotte. She was a loving Nana to her five grandchildren, Michael Smith, Nichole (Smith) Parker, David Smith, Ryan Smith, and Bradley Smith. She also leaves behind her best friend and loving sister, Linda (Boyden) Brady and her husband Ronald; brother, Michael Boyden and his wife Sandra; sisters, Lila, Rita and Janet; and a number of nieces and nephews whom she adored. She was predeceased by her son, David F. Smith Jr., and brother, James D. Boyden Jr.

Pat was a member of the Women of St. Luke’s and St. Luke’s Prayer Shawl Ministry. She was devoted to her family, whom she loved to cook for. She also enjoyed her time spent at the cottage in Rutland.

Her funeral Mass was celebrated Feb. 29 in St. Luke the Evangelist Church of Westborough, followed by burial in Worcester County Memorial Park of Paxton.
