Hudson – Antonino A. Correia, 69, of Hudson, died unexpectedly at his residence Thursday, July 7, 2016. He was the beloved husband of 47 years to the late Celestina C. (Rego) Correia.
Antonino was born and raised in Santa Maria, the Azores of Portugal, son of the late David and Angelina (Fontes) Correia. He resided in Santa Maria until immigrating to Hudson in 1972.
He was employed by Independent Cable Company of Hudson for 30 years until his retirement in 2009.
He was a member of Saint Michael’s Parish in Hudson and member of the Hudson Portuguese Club.
He is survived by his three children, Nelson R. Correia of Hudson, Robert R. Correia and his wife Christine of Marlborough, and Elizabeth R. Correia of Marlborough. He also leaves his five grandchildren, Samantha and Cassie Correia of Hudson, Hunter and Devin Correia of Marlborough, and Alex Agostinho of Marlborough; his sister, Violante Andrade of East Providence, R.I.; and his two brothers, Miguel Correia and his wife Lobelia and Jose Correia and his wife Olga, all of Hudson, along with his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Antonino lived a simple life working hard and caring for his family. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Portuguese Club in Hudson and was proud of his Portuguese Heritage. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 12, at 9 a.m., in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow at Saint Michael’s Cemetery of Hudson.
