Hopkinton – Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton, Inc., is desperately seeking a foster or permanent home for Pigeon, a two year old Dalmatian mix. Pigeon was rescued from a high-kill Kentucky shelter earlier this year and has been in and out of foster homes since. She is becoming quite stressed at the shelter thus the staff is hoping to find a more permanent situation for her.

According to Leslie Doyle, a volunteer with Baypath, “Pigeon is super social. She is very affectionate and loves her people. She has a youthful, playful side but also likes to chill out by your side.

“Pigeon likes other dogs and is a great walking buddy and likes play dates. She will do best living as the solo pet though so she can be queen of the castle!”

Baypath staff believe that Pigeon is deaf although that does not seem to hamper her. They have been working on hand signals and commands with her. She is young and will require additional positive reinforcement training. She gets along well with other dogs but not cats. She is already crate trained.

For more information call the shelter at 508-435-6938 or email [email protected],
