Friends of the Ashland Library hold year-end membership drive

Ashland – Friends of the Ashland Public Library is holding a membership drive through Dec. 31 to support educational and cultural programming in downtown Ashland. The nonprofit organization provides high-quality, diverse programs, ranging from musicians to films to art classes.

The Friends rely on funding from their quarterly book and cupcake sales, grants and individual memberships to support programming year-round. In recent years, the Friends have expanded their offerings through partnerships with the schools and other community groups.

The membership drive will run through Dec. 31. Anyone who joins or renews their membership during that period will be entered in a drawing for a $100 American Express gift card donated by the Dunn family of Ashland. The drawing will be held at noon on Jan. 5, 2017 at the library.

Memberships are tax-deductible and range from $5 per year for seniors to $20 per year for a family. To see the complete list of membership options and to join or renew, visit www.friendsoftheapl.com or stop by the Ashland Library, 66 Front St., to fill out a membership form.
