Marlborough – William M. “Bill” Kirwin, 76, died Sunday morning, Dec. 18, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Linda (Meschini) Kirwin, with whom he recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Bill and Linda resided in Marlborough for over 50 years.

Bill was a veteran of the United States Marines and later worked for the former Hostess Company in Framingham for 32 years. As a second career, Bill worked as a courier for Fletcher Tilton PC in Framingham. He was also a professional candle pin bowler for 30 years, winning many events and appearing on television numerous times.

Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Lambert of Marlborough and Kelly O’Leary and her husband Matthew of Marlborough; four grandchildren, Shelby, Madison, Liam, and Megan; one great-grandson, Sebastian; two brothers, Paul Kerwin of W. Roxbury and Charles Kerwin of Oklahoma; three sisters, Dolores Peterman of Oklahoma, June Matthews of Wareham, and Joyce Alt of Barre; and many nieces and nephews.

At Bill’s request there will be no public visiting hours; however, the family invites all who knew Bill to join them for a celebration of life Thursday, Dec. 22, from 5-8 p.m., at the Marlborough Fish and Game, 1 Muddy Ln. Arrangements under the direction of the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home of Marlborough.
