Northborough – Margaret (Elliott) Morrill passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Martin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stuart, Fla. She was 95. Her husband, William A. Morrill, died in 1995.
She leaves her three loving sons, William Morrill and his wife Ruth of Northborough, Stephen Morrill and his wife Maureen of Wakefield, and Michael Morrill and his wife Brigitte of Tequesta, Fla.; and two beloved grandsons, Matthew and Christopher Morrill.
Born in Augusta, Maine, she was the daughter of George and Edna (Matthews) Elliott Manning, and a lifelong resident of Northborough.
Margaret graduated from Becker College in 1942. She and her husband owned and operated William A. Morrill Sheet Metal Inc. Worcester for many years.
She was a lifelong member of Trinity Church, Northborough District Nurse Association, past president of Northborough Women’s Club, Nettles Island Women’s Club, and founder and chairman of Nettles Island Theater Guild Scholarship Fund. She was also an avid card player. Most of all, Margaret was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 31, from 4-7 p.m., in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. Margaret’s funeral will take place Thursday, June 1, at 10 a.m., in Trinity Church, 23 Main St., Northborough. She will be laid to rest beside Bill in Howard Street Cemetery.
