Dominick A. CassaliaHudson – Dominick A. Cassalia (Don), 82, of Hudson, formerly of Harrison, N.Y., went home to The Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones, after a long illness.

Don was the devoted husband to Sophie (nee Mazzaferro) for 55 years. Proud father to Gregory (wife Patricia) and Deborah Guillet. Loving grandfather to Courtney (nee Cassalia) and Joshua McIvor, 2LT Jordan Cassalia and Cadet Sydney Cassalia, Amanda (nee Guillet) and 1LT Connor Mulhere, David Guillet and Peter Guillet, and his first great-grandchild Matthias McIvor. His family was his pride and joy and he loved spending time with them.

Don was a graduate of Harrison High School, Harrison, N.Y. (’54) and Cortland State Teachers College (’58). He was active for seven years with Troop 1 in Harrison and recipient of the Silver Bowl award. He proudly served in the US Army for six years.

Don worked for Japanese Products Corp for 33 years, retiring as President/CEO. He was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church in Harrison, N.Y. until his move to Hudson in 2010 where he was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Parish. During retirement in MA, Don and his wife enjoyed their life of leisure and traveling. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing golf with his grandsons and close friends.

Don was predeceased by nine sisters, Francine Wells, Filomena Loiacono, Minnie Camardella, Connie Lusardo, Frances Tiernan, Mary Sedotti, Edith Niles, Vera Citrone, and Tootsie Nardo, and three brothers,  Frank, Julie and Tony. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 9, at 11 a.m., at St. Michael Parish, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Private interment will be at a later date.
