Hudson – Irene DiPietro, 89, of Hudson, passed Monday, April 30, 2018 at Marlborough Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony DiPietro.

She is survived by her sons, John DiPietro of Hudson, Tony DiPietro and his wife Lynne of Buffalo, N.Y., and Paul DiPietro and his wife Debbie of Hudson, and was the mother of the late Irene Ames. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Pacheco, Alice Correa and Nina Lanigan, and her brothers Edmund, Johnny, Joseph, Roy, Joao and Rao Correa. She also leaves many loving grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

Irene was born in Marlborough and had lived in Hudson her entire life. She was the secretary for the family roofing company for many years, but she was most comfortable being at home raising her family. In her spare time she enjoyed dining out, singing, family, playing the accordion and traveling to Cape Cod. In 1985, Irene was a cancer survivor of non Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 2, from 8-8:45 a.m., at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9 a.m. in St. Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson.
