Marlborough – On Saturday, June 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Marlborough Historical Society will have a Spring/Summer open house at the Peter Rice Homestead, 377 Elm St. “Tool Time on the Farm” will give you a look into the city of Marlborough when it was a farming community before it became a leader in the shoe industry. On display will be many of the interesting tools from the historical society’s archives that the community used for farming and other tasks.

This is a great event for families, fathers and grandfathers. There is parking directly across the street. Lemonade, ice tea and cookies will be served. A $5 donation is requested; children and seniors are free.
