Shrewsbury – The weather was balmy on June 16 for the dedication of the Shrewsbury Fragrant Garden sponsored by Shrewsbury Fragrant Garden, Incorporated (SFG, Inc.,) in association with the Shrewsbury Garden Club.

The dedication of a fountain donated by the Shrewsbury Lions Club also took place. Audrey Dalli, president of the SFG, Inc., welcomed those in attendance and presented a certificate to the town which was accepted by Selectman Jim Kane. She also presented pins to representatives from the Lions Club for their participation and to mark the club’s 75 years in town. State Rep. Hannah Kane (R-Shrewsbury) then presented a certificate to the Shrewsbury Garden Club.

The garden is located next to the town’s municipal building, near the Police Station on Maple Avenue.
