Hudson – It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Conti announces his passing July 9, 2018 at the age of 85 years.

Peter is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Charlotte Conti, along with his two children, Peter Conti and his wife Maria and Cindy Costabile and her husband Joe. Peter will be forever remembered and loved by his four grandchildren, Brian Costabile and his wife Jeannie, Debra Lazaros and her husband Charles, and Michelle and Lauryn Conti, along with five great-grandchildren, Ella, Beckett and Boden Costabile, Landon and Amelia Lazaros.

A native of Hudson for over 70 years, Peter was a graduate of Hudson High School in 1951, and was a pitcher on the Hudson High School 1951 Massachusetts State Champion Baseball team, which has since been enshrined in the Hudson High School Sports Hall of Fame. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army, and proudly served our country in the Korean War, under the 8th Army, 2nd Infantry Division.

Peter spent the better half of his career in the computer services industry, with 25 years of employment across Itek Corporation and Prime Computer. In 1989, he decided to pursue a new calling in real estate, where he was a successful real estate broker within Hudson and the surrounding community through 2008.  He devoted 10 years of community service to the Town of Hudson, as a member of the Board of Appeals, and was also a life time member of the Hudson Elks.

A celebration of Peter’s life will be held Wednesday evening, July 11, from 5-8 p.m., and again Thursday morning, July 12, from 9-10 a.m., with a funeral service to immediately follow. All services will be held at Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA 01749.
