Marlborough – The Marlborough High School Panthers boys’ soccer team defeated the visiting Westborough High School Rangers by a score of 3-1. The game was played Tuesday evening, Sept. 11. Prior to the game, a moment of silence was observed in remembrance of the Sept. 11,2001 tragedy.
Westborough scored first, on a goal by Dan Bugaev, but Marlborough’s Nathan Silva tied up the score later in the first period. Pedro Pinho and Renato Rezende scored second half goals for Marlborough to seal the victory.
Marlborough improved to 2-0 with the win, while Westborough fell to 1-1.
