Northborough – The NIBOT Band and The Vincent F. Picard American Legion Post 234 have announced they will be co-hosting the 10th Annual Benefit for the Northborough Food Pantry on Friday, Nov. 23, from 5-9 p.m.

The band has played benefit concerts over the years at other venues. Thanks to the efforts of Billy Cazaropoul and the Legion’s management, they are thrilled to be holding this year’s concert at the Legion.

A suggested donation of $10 at the door is requested but any additional monetary donations will be greatly appreciated by the Food Pantry, according to John Brigham, who is helping to organize the concert. This time of year the Pantry will be able to use the money for things that are not usually donated like fresh, perishable food items, he said.

“This event usually brings a great amount of people together from the Algonquin Regional High School alumni that are around for the holiday and ends up being a school reunion of sorts,” he noted. “We look forward to this year’s event being as successful as all of the others.

“The Food Pantry always needs and appreciates the help! The people that the Pantry helps are our neighbors, friends and families- it a great feeling for us to be able to hold this event! We hope you can make it!”

The American Legion is located at 402 W. Main St., Northborough.
