Marlborough – Personal finance website WalletHub has ranked Marlborough among the top 20 percent of the “Best Small Cities to Live in America”. The city was also ranked 51st in education out of more than 1,200 communities.

In the study released last month, WalletHub compared 1,268 U.S. cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 based on 40 key indicators of livability, ranging from housing costs to school-system quality to restaurants per capita. Marlborough received a total score of 61.61, landing in the 80th percentile of the Best Small Cities to Live in America.

“We are happy to see that Marlborough continues to get the national recognition it deserves,” said Marlborough Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) Executive Director Meredith Harris. “We are proud of all that our city has to offer to both residents and visitors, and we look forward to continuing to create a great live-work-play environment for all who choose to make Marlborough their home.”

The ranking comes on the heels of MEDC’s release of the new promotional video for the city, which showcases Marlborough’s many offerings and amenities to developers, businesses, employees and residents.
