Marlborough – The Marlborough Lions Club hosted a Speech Contest at its recent meeting. The theme for this year was “Integrity: What does it look like?” The winner was Izam Karukappadath, a 10th-grader at the Advanced Math and Science Academy. Club members listened and offered comments, suggestions and praise. Izam now moves on to the zone, region and district 33K level competitions. If he is not eliminated he will compete at the Lions Multiple District contest in the spring. Izam was presented with a certificate and a gift card for his participation.
