Hudson/Southborough – The public is invited to a fun night of roller skating Saturday, Feb. 2 at Roller Kingdom, 5 Highland Park, Hudson, to benefit Southborough resident Brian Shifrin.
Shifrin is a Southborough resident and member of the Board of Selectmen who was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease) in 2017. His disease is progressing where he can no longer be without the assistance of costly care and medical equipment.
The fundraiser will feature roller skate/in-line skate, race contest, 50/50 raffle, DJ, karaoke and snack bar. The event will be from 6-9 p.m.
Donations with a suggestion of $20 per child or maximum $50 per family. Skate rentals are available for $3 or bring your own. All proceeds will go directly to Shifrin’s medical care and equipment bills.
