Ronald A. CoxWestborough – Ronald A. Cox, 78, of Westborough, died Jan. 21, 2019 in Worcester.

Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late James H. and Mary (Hunt) Cox and the husband of Jean (Soter) Cox, to whom he had been married for 58 years. He was also the brother of the late Gertrude Allen, James Jr., Frederick, John and Bobby Cox. He was also predeceased by his beloved dog, Tasha.

Ronald was employed at General Motors in Framingham for many years, and before his retirement he was head of security and maintenance at the Lechmere Mall.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his dog, Peaches.

Ronald had a passion for music, being an avid guitar player and exceptional key board player, many people enjoyed listening to his music. He made everyone laugh, and was always there to lend and ear if you needed to talk.

Besides his wife, Ronald is survived by his daughters, Debbie McCahan and her husband Tim of St. Petersburg, Fla., Patricia Frye of Marlborough, Cheryl Caissie and her husband Roger of Marlborough, and Chrissy Frye and her husband Ralph of Marlborough; his brothers, Thomas Cox and his wife Claire of Sandwich and David Cox and his partner Christine Duby of Worcester; his sister, Marion Tripp and her husband Red of Marlborough; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Mahan of New York and Catherine Holsomback of Northborough. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Jan. 31, from 4- 6 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, followed by a service in the funeral home at 6 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.

He was a loving husband, dad, grampy and great-grampy. We all miss you dearly and have fond memories to keep in our hearts.
