Southborough – The Friends of the Southborough Library have an additional $227 to spend on literary activities.
Diners who visited the Chateau Restaurant in Westborough on April 3 saw a percentage of their checks go to the Friends. Donations also came from online sales.
“We’re grateful to everyone who came for the delicious Italian food and in doing so sponsored our programs,” said Beth Melo, president.
The money will go to museum passes and other activities sponsored by the Friends, such as social events like the Strawberry Social coming up in June.
The Friends of the Southborough Library is open to anyone who wants to share a love of books. Meetings are the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 pm at the Southborough Library, 25 Main St., Southborough.
