Travis D. CoxMarlborough – Travis D. Cox, 43, formerly of Marlborough, died May 22, 2019 at UMass Medical Center.

He was born in Kingsport, Tenn. and was raised and educated in Marlborough.

He was a manager for his family’s business Curtis Ave Car Wash. He was also a self-employed painter for many years.

Travis enjoyed attending concerts, music festivals, fishing, motorcycles and playing pool and darts with his friends. He would do anything for anyone and will be remembered for his fondness of life, that of which he lived to the fullest each and every day. He also enjoyed a good prank, regardless of which end of it he was on. His daughters were the love and joy of his life.

He leaves his mother, Billie S. McCarthy and her husband Michael of Rutland and his father Jerry D. Cox of Yuma, Va.; his daughters, Rylee D. Cox and Valeree Shaw of Greenville, N.H.; a sister, Kelly R. Bigelow and her husband Ryan of East Hampton, Conn.; a brother, Michael S. McCarthy of Anaheim, Calif.; two nephews, Adam and Brady, and a niece, Skylar, all of East Hampton, Conn.; and two aunts, Donna Akers and her husband Mike of Jonesborough, Tenn. and Penny Dail and her husband Steve of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, May 25, from 5-8 p.m., in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough. Following cremation, burial will be private.
