Americo "Mike" ApicernoGrafton/Fort Pierce, Fla. – Americo “Mike” Apicerno passed away in his sleep July 3, 2019.

A WWII Veteran of the 8th Army Air Service, he guarded German POWs in England. He worked on the Railroad for 42 years. He was a finish carpenter & loved woodworking crafts. He resided in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Florida.

He enjoyed bocce, poker, music, eating, dancing and his many friends at the Millbury Senior Center.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Guiliano and Rosina Apicerno; two brothers, Giuseppe and Mario Apicerno; and a sister, Angelina Natale. He was also predeceased by his wife, Dorothy McMahon Kibbe Apicerno (2009); his stepson, Calvin Kibbe; stepson in-law, Kevin Savageaux; a step-granddaughter, Andrea Richards; and a step-grandson, Scott Savageaux.

He is survived by his sister, Nancy DiLorenzo; his brother, Julio Apicerno; his children, Kenneth Apicerno and Donna Apicerno-Dalton; six stepchildren and their spouses; Brad & Brenda Kibbe, Sharon Savageaux, Bruce Kibbe, Mark Kibbe, Maryellen and Yvon Thebeau, Nancy and Linwood Richards, and Margaret Kibbe; 18 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

All are welcome to gather for a prayer service for Mike on Monday, July 29, at 11 a.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton. A private burial is planned.
