Marlborough – The International Overdose Awareness Day candlelight vigil scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 28, outside the Walker Building will instead take place at First Church in Marlborough, 37 High St., at 7 p.m. The relocation of venue is because Marlborough has canceled all outdoor events after dusk on city property indefinitely due to the EEE virus threat.

The remembrance ceremony will include a memorial slideshow and speakers. Among this year’s speakers are former New England Patriots defensive lineman Chris Sullivan and Franklin Cook, a peer grief support specialist with Unified Community Solutions. The event is free and open to the public.
