Northborough – The work of Northborough photographer Allison Goldman will be on display at the Northborough Free Library from Wednesday, Sept. 4 through Saturday, Sept. 28.

Goldman’s work has been compared to that of the artist Georgia O’Keefe by many of those who have seen her photographs.

Photography has been a passion of Goldman’s for many years. According to her, her “photographs are time capsules since capturing moments in time is like a time machine, except capturing images of the past and present stays with us, while time machines are still a product of our imaginations and don’t exist yet.”

While she chooses to photograph many subjects, her work has mainly focused on nature and food photography. With all of the technology available to photographers today, Goldman has remained conservative with the tools she uses to develop her photographs. There is not a single photograph she has touched up using photo editing software. She uses a simple point and shoot camera for most of her photos.

The exhibit will be on public view during all open hours of the Library, with the exception of times when a program or library-sponsored event is happening in the meeting room.

An opening reception will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 2-3:30 p.m. and all are cordially invited to attend.
