Westborough – Many children partied with their grown-ups Dec. 31 by celebrating Noon Year’s Eve at the Westborough Public Library.

The three-hour party got started with an interactive magic show performed by Chris Herrick and several young volunteer assistants. Mingling among the guests afterward were Disney film characters Elsa and Anna of “Frozen.”

Kids created their own party hats and noisemakers assisted by members of the library’s youth organization the WAVE (Westborough Awesome Volunteer Experience) consisting of students in grades six to 12, and Westborough High School National Honor Society. The youth volunteers also provided face-painting, temporary tattoos and games, and then led dancing.

Adults got chances to win bestselling books.

The highlight for revelers of all ages was a countdown to 2019’s last noontime with confetti filling the air.
