Sandra BissonnetteHudson, Fla. – Sandra Jean (Lapriore) Bissonnette, 75, of Hudson, FL, formerly of Hudson, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2020. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 51 years, Robert E. Bissonnette.

Sandra was born in Worcester, MA, on September 22, 1944, the daughter of the late Sante and Julia (Kulesza) Lapriore. She was raised in Worcester and Northborough and graduated from Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough in 1962.  She later earned her teaching degree from North Adams State College in 1966. She moved to Hudson in 1968 and together with her husband Robert (“Bob”) resided in town where they raised four children.  In 2016, they migrated south to Hudson, Florida to fulfill their retirement dream.  Sandra devoted her life to caring for others, working as a first grade teacher for the Hudson Public Schools for over 30 years.

Sandra was an outgoing and upbeat person who was always the life of the party. She was also a great hostess and will always be remembered for her pool parties at 27 Richard Road, where she loved making others happy and having a good time, serving her delicious calzones and pizza bombs. She was also an avid reader, enjoyed dancing, trying her luck at the slot machines, soaking up the sun by the pool, most recently with her friends at the Gulf Island Beach condos in Florida.

In addition to her husband Bob, she is also survived by her 4 children, Jaclyn A. Bissonnette and her husband Tom Pierce of Boylston, MA, Julie M. Bissonnette of Leominster, MA, Robert E. Bissonnette, Jr. of Birmingham, AL and Carrie J. Gallagher and her husband John-Paul of Townsend, MA; 7 grandchildren, Ridge and Clay Pierce, Danielle and Gabrielle Bissonnette, Sadie Bissonnette, and Maeve and Kate Gallagher, and her cousin, Frances Clark, along with several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother, Gerald Lapriore and her cousin, Patricia English.

Family and friends are invited to a period of calling hours from 4 pm until 7 pm on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A Funeral Service will be held the following day at 11 am on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 in the funeral home; followed by interment in Forestvale Cemetery in Hudson.
