Barbara AucoinHudson – Barbara Jane (Decker) Aucoin, 67, of Hudson, MA, formerly of Waltham, MA, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Friday, May 15, 2020. She leaves her beloved husband of 47 years, Jean A. Aucoin.

Barbara was born in Danbury, CT on December 15, 1952, a daughter of the late Wilfred Decker, Sr. and Nancy (Kelley) Decker. She graduated from High School in Danbury and went on to earn an associate degree in Secretarial Science from Lauren College. Barbara married the love of her life on September 16, 1972, and shortly after they moved to Waltham in 1977, where they lived for many years, before finally settling in Hudson, MA in 2010. Barbara was Catholic and had been a Parishioner of Saint Michael Parish in Hudson and Saint Joseph Parishes in Waltham and Bristol, CT.

Barbara was also a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She was a self-titled “Home Chemist”, with formulas to remove stains from anything.

In addition to her beloved husband, Jean A. Aucoin, she was also survived by her 4 children, Jennifer M. Aucoin of Presque Isle, ME, Lisa M. Aucoin of Waltham, Aimee T. Ryan and her husband John of Milford, MA and Michael J. Aucoin and his wife Meghan of Hudson, MA; 5 siblings, Kathy Weber and her husband Herb, Nancy Jo Decker, Patti Decker and her husband Joe Gorczyca, Mary Ellen Botticello and her husband Henry and Wilfred E. Decker, Jr.; 3 grandchildren, Christopher M. Aucoin and Grace E.M. Aucoin and Samantha N. Ryan and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother, William E. Decker and her granddaughter, Emily J. May.

Due to current Covid 19 pandemic restrictions, services will be private. A memorial mass will be celebrated at a later time. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with her arrangements.
