Ronald G. Phillipo, Marlborough – Ronald G. Phillipo, 70, of Marlborough,MA, died Sunday, May 17, 2020 from complications of the COVID-19 virus at Coleman House, Northborough, MA. He was the son of the late Elmer and Alice (Bertonassi) Phillipo and the beloved husband of Ellie (Macora) Phillipo to whom he was married for the past 45 years.

Ron graduated from Algonquin Regional High School in 1967 and then attended Worcester Boys Trade before enlisting in the Navy.

Following his discharge from the Navy, he returned to Southborough and went to work for George Labarre Plumbing. Prior to starting his own business, he also worked for A and C Plumbing and Heating and Bob Dolan Plumbing and Heating.

He enjoyed NASCAR, playing golf with his family and most of all, being around people. He loved to make people laugh and will be sorely missed.

Besides his wife he is survived by his sons, Matthew T. Phillipo of Marlborough and Timothy Phillipo and his wife Julie of Hudson, his sisters Anne Phillipo Huff and her husband Kenneth of Centerville, MA , Elyse Phillipo of Fayville and Bena Phillipo and her husband Peter Kahn of Southborough, many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and his US Navy and the Coleman House Families. He was predeceased by his brother Carl Phillipo and his sister June Phillipo.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association c/o Coleman House, 112 W. Main St., Northborough, MA 01532.

A celebration of Ron’s well lived life will be held at a later date.
