Louis Trudeau, 92, of MarlboroughMarlborough – Louis Trudeau, 92, died Sunday evening May 17, 2020 after a brief illness.  He was the husband of the late Mary Margaret (Dolan) Trudeau who died in 2013.  They were married for 46 years.  He was born in Marlborough, the son of the late Joseph and Blandine (Boissie) Trudeau and lived there all of his life.

Mr. Trudeau served in the United States Merchant Marines during WWII and went on to work many different jobs in his life. His first job was selling corn out of a wagon with his brother. He worked for the Rexnord Corp. in Maynard. He worked in the press room of the Marlborough Enterprise and the former South Middlesex Newspaper in Framingham. His last job was with Houde Landscaping where he engaged in many tasks including selling Christmas trees.

He is survived by a daughter Lisa Trudeau of Marlborough, two sons John Trudeau and his wife Renee of TX and Louis Trudeau and his wife Lisa of Marlborough, two grandchildren, three sisters; Theresa Bryce of Hudson, Jacqueline Irwin of Concord CA, Claire Condry of Marlborough and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Francis, Charles, Benoit, Paul and sisters Lorraine Fricault, Yvonne Fricault, Cecile Trudeau.

He was a graduate of St Anthony’s School and attended Worcester Boys Trade School. He trained at the Merchant Marine Academy in New York.

Mr. Trudeau was a member of the J.J. Foley Club. During the city’s Tricentennial celebration, he held the title of Lord High Sheriff of Marlborough. He umpired Men’s softball games. In his retirement he was active in the Elderkind Theater group. He was also active in the Marlboro Low Vision Support Group. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed making Sunday dinner for his family.
