Shrewsbury announces vacancies in Emergency Management

 

Shrewsbury – The town of Shrewsbury is seeking individuals to fill vacancies for the following two positions in Emergency Management: 

 Volunteer Shelter Coordinator – Shrewsbury, MA

The Town of Shrewsbury Emergency Management is seeking to fill the position of volunteer shelter coordinator. If you are community oriented and would like an opportunity to help our residents in a time of need, this is a perfect opportunity. No experience is required. The Town, through the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency and American Red Cross, will provide training for this position. Shrewsbury recently received a grant for equipment to expand our shelter capabilities. It will be the responsibility of the shelter coordinator to manage this equipment and other volunteers during an emergency shelter activation. Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) – Shrewsbury, MA

The Town of Shrewsbury is looking for community members interested in joining the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). This is an opportunity for you to give back to your neighbors and community during both emergencies and planned events. This is particularly important during the current COVID 19 pandemic and upcoming winter storm season.
