Arthur J. AndersonHudson – Arthur J. Anderson, 75, passed away Jan. 16, 2021, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Huddleson) Anderson of Hudson; his son, Sean Anderson and his girlfriend Jasmine Medley of Lee, N.H.; his daughter, Shannon Colleton and her husband Phil of Leominster; his grandchildren, Ethan Colleton, Zayne Colleton and Peyton Medley; nephews, Eric Anderson of Peabody and Roy Anderson and his wife Wendy of Florida; nieces, Karen Cutler and her husband Burt of Gloucester and Sharon Sandoval and her husband Jose of Oregon; and several great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Arlene Anderson.

Art was born and raised in Lynn, the son of the late, Eric M. and Edna (Carlson) Anderson. He graduated Lynn English High School in 1965 before attending Northeastern University where he earned his Master’s Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

Art worked for Raytheon in Sudbury and Marlborough for 43 years, fulfilling many roles until his retirement in 2009 as a Software Quality Engineer.

He enjoyed spending time at the chalet in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire or the cottage on Cape Cod, fishing, adding to his household collections and “tinkering.” He was happiest when he was surrounded by his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Artie will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

All are invited to his visitation Friday, Jan. 22, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, with a funeral service to begin at noon in the funeral home. Burial to follow in St. Michael Cemetery of Hudson. Please be mindful of the COVID-19 STATEMENT: Due to Massachusetts Covid-19 restrictions, all persons entering the funeral home must wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines. Also, there shall be no more than 25 people allowed in the funeral home at any one time during visitation and services.
