Clara C. FurbishNorthborough – Clara C. Furbish, 80, of Northborough, passed away on Feb. 12, 2012 at the Marlborough Hospital. She was the wife of the late Clyde J. Furbish Jr.

Born in Northborough, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Mabel (McKissick) Sinclair and was raised and educated in Northborough.

In her early years, she worked at Alfax Paper where she met her future husband, Clyde. After the birth of her first child, she stayed home to raise her family. Her hobbies included doing crafts like Latch Hook kits, Cross Stitch, and reading.

Clara is survived by five children, David W. Furbish of Fryeburg, Maine, Daniel J. Furbish and his wife Joanne of Westborough, Dawna J. Tervo-Silva and her husband Ernest of Millbury, Denice M. Catania and her husband David of Clinton, and Clyde J. Furbish III and his wife Jennifer of Shrewsbury; two brothers, Sam Sinclair of Northborough and Ronald Sinclair of Charlton; four sisters, Janet Annis of Northborough, Phyllis Letendre of Marlborough, Marilyn Banks of Stoughton, and Paula Fiske of Northborough; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three on the way; and her beloved cat, Minnie. She was the mother of the late Dean J. Furbish and grandmother of the late Robert Tervo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Monday, Feb. 22, from 4-6 p.m., at the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough. Facial masks and social distancing will be required and there will be a limited number of people allowed in the funeral home at one time. Graveside services in Pine Grove Cemetery will be private.
