Ashland – Paul Rene Tessier, 78, of Ashland, passed away on April 28, 2021 in his home after a long battle with Interstitial Lung Disease. He was the son of the late Peter and Lorraine (Tremblay) Tessier and was predeceased by his brother, P. Douglas Tessier, and his former wife, Constance (Taylor) Tessier.
Born on March 14, 1943 in Marlborough, he was raised and educated in Marlborough and was a graduate of DeVry Technical Institute.
Paul began his career as a Time Study Manager, and later was a purchasing agent, working for Reece Corp., Prime Computer, and LTX before his retirement in 2006. He also worked at the Marlborough Country Club and was a Little League Baseball Coach in Marlborough.
He was an avid golfer and a huge fan of Boston sports, especially the Patriots. Paul enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, Tahoe, Foxwoods, Twin Rivers, and Plainridge, anywhere there was a casino. He also enjoyed spending his winters in Florida.
He is survived by his fiancée, Angela Trabucco of Ashland; his son, Shawn Tessier and his wife Stephanie of Lunenburg; his sister, Carol Benson of Jacksonville, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 3, from 5-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough.
