HUDSON — With two new members elected to the Hudson Select Board, Hudson now also has new faces at the helm of the board.

Previously, former members Joe Durant and John Parent held the titles of chair and vice chair, respectively.

However, their seats became up for grabs after both decided not to run for reelection this year. Former Police Chief Michael Burks Sr. and finance committee member Shawn Sadowski won the election earlier this month.

Now Scott Duplisea will serve as the new chair after being unanimously elected by his fellow board members during the May 17 meeting.

“Thank you very much,” Duplisea said after the vote.

Burks was elected as the vice chair. James Quinn will continue to serve as the clerk.

“Congratulations, Mr. Quinn. I know it’s probably a position you’re not that very familiar with, but good luck with that,” Duplisea joked.

“I like it here,” Quinn said. “I like driving old cars and being clerk. Thank you.”
