MARLBOROUGH – The Marlborough Historical Society will hold a special historical wedding display on the weekends of August 28 and 29 as well as September 4 and 5.
The displays will appear at the Historical Society headquarters at the Peter Rice Homestead at 377 Elm St., Marlborough.
Wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses, men’s wedding attire and bridal trousseaus from 1895 through 1984 will be included in this presentation. Also included will be photographs of historical bridal parties.
“Marlborough’s founding families had many wedding celebrations,” read a press release announcing this event. “The Historical Society has been preserving attire worn by these families and will have many of them on display.”
