REGION – The fall sports season started with a bang last week with a slate of games punctuated by Hudson High School’s nail biting football victory over Clinton on Sept. 10.
That game featured a flurry of late scoring that ramped up after Hudson tied the game at 27-27 with just under 7 minutes left in the game. Clinton took back the lead with 2:39 on the clock. Their extra point attempt was no good, however.
That set up Hudson to win the game with 17 seconds left when Jake Attaway connected with Kyle Areias for a 20-yard touchdown pass.
The season now continues for local teams as players, coaches, athletic directors and fans look to enjoy a Fall 2021 season that marks a return to form after COVID-19 prompted major changes to fall schedules last year.
