Marsha was born in Worcester, the daughter of Kendall and Helen (Trainor) Clifford. Marsha grew up and spent the majority of her life living in Northborough. In her youth, she worked for her father’s business as a truck driver, the foundation of her wanderlust.

A graduate of Northborough High School, she went on to graduate from secretarial school. After graduation, Marsha decided to take another path and started her career as a stewardess for Northwestern Airlines. A career that provided her with the freedom that was not common to most women of her time. Marsha left the airlines to become a wife and mother. She later re-entered the workforce as an Executive Administrative Assistant retiring in 2002.

Marsha enjoyed her retirement thoroughly. She loved to travel with family and always enjoyed a good road trip. She was an avid reader and was a longtime volunteer for the Northborough Free Library.
