Westborough – Susan Weirauch Foster of Westborough, MA died November 29, 2021. Susan was born December 11, 1944, in Evansville, IN, to the late Bernard and Winifred (Kisner) Weirauch. Her beloved husband Dick Foster preceded her in death (2006).
She is survived by her stepsons: Michael Hutchinson Foster (Diane) of Aspen, CO, and Andrew Reis Foster (Ingrid Flory) of Easthampton, MA, and their sons Mattias and Finley. Susan is also survived by her cousin Arden Williams of Evansville, IN, Cindy Gentry of Goshen, IN, Andy Lewis of Stoughton, WI, Melinda Slater of Indianapolis, IN, and Lisa Lewis of Los Angelos CA.
Susan Graduated from Bosse High School, Evansville, IN in 1962. She attended Hanover College and received her BA and MA degrees at Indiana State University (1966, 1967). She worked as a School Psychologist more than forty years in Kansas, Indiana, Ohio, and Massachusetts, retiring from the Shirley School District.
In addition to loving to work with children, her heart’s desire was to serve God and his people. At the First United Methodist Church (Westborough MA), she sang in two choirs and organized many of the special services: All Saints Memorial Service, Blue Christmas, Maundy Thursday, Easter Vigil. She served as a Stephen Minister. She also frequently attended Bible study in Fitchburg, MA, at the home of her friends Rev Robert & Rev Gloria Olivier.
Her funeral service will be on Friday, December 3, at 10:30 A.M. in the First United Methodist Church, 120 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
A calling hour will precede the service from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the church. Facial masks will be required in church.
