Jonathan A. ManellMarlborough – Jonathan “Jon” A. Manell, 39, of Marlborough, died Monday, December 6, 2021, at Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA.

He was the son of Thomas F. and Marlene R. Manell and the loving husband of Deirdre Manell. They were together for 17 years and married for the last seven of those years.

Besides his wife and parents, Jon was a loving father to his two sons, Dylan and Tyler. He is also survived by his sister Jen Manell and her husband, Cole Bailey and their three children, Harrison, Norah and Rosalind along with loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jonathan was a graduate of Marlboro High School and Dean College. Growing up as a teenager he had a passion for flying. He worked and studied in the field of aviation at Marlboro Airport.

Along with flying he enjoyed playing his trumpet in many ensembles during middle school and high school that continued through to his adult life.

As an adult, Jonathan had many hobbies from RC cars, RC airplanes, rebuilding jeeps and even sailing or kayaking with his children. He was best described to have had a large heart and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA 01752. Private services for Jon will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund for Jonathan’s Children has been set up through Main Street Bank. Donations may be forwarded to the “Jonathan Manell Memorial Fund” ℅ Marlene Manell, 239 Wilson Street Marlboro, MA 01752.

The family respectfully requests that attendees be vaccinated and wear a mask.
