Chelmsford – Ethel L. (Huttenstine) Drasher, age 92, a resident of Chelmsford, passed away at Sunny Acres Nursing Home on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Henry J. Drasher Jr. with whom she enjoyed 55 years of marriage.
She was born in Cunningham, Pennsylvania on December 16, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Peter and Iola (Heller) Huttenstine.
Ethel was raised and attended school in Pennsylvania. She was a former parishioner of St. Luke Episcopal Church in Hudson. Ethel loved to crochet and was always making something, from tissue box covers or Christmas ornaments to crosses for her children’s cars. She will always be remembered for her Sunday dinners. She cherished her time with family and will be dearly missed.
Ethel is survived by her sons; John Henry Drasher III of Worcester, Gene E. Drasher and his wife Debbie of MN, Jeffrey L. Drasher and his wife Barbara of FL, Gerald P. Drasher and his wife Joanne of GA, Joseph D. Drasher and Colleen Sweeny of NJ, her daughters; Joan L. Downer and her husband Roger S. of Chelmsford, June L. Hellman of PA, JoAnn M. Pettorini and her husband Mark of TX and Joy Lynn Drasher of FL, her brother, Bruce Huttenstine and his wife Gayle of PA. She also leaves behind 34 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ethel was sadly predeceased by her son David H. Drasher, her siblings; Edith Quirion, Gladys Roberts, Jane Prusell, her son-in-law, William Hellman and her cherished companion, Francis Bellaveau.
