WESTBOROUGH – Westborough Connects is expanding, looking to hire a new part-time employee to oversee its volunteer network.
Westborough Connects, organizes Westborough Kindness Week as one of its many outreach and engagement programs, relies on volunteers to maintain its community programming. The volunteer engagement coordinator would be responsible for training, cultivating and managing this volunteer network.
Announced in the organization’s email newsletter last week, the 13-hour per week role will maintain a database of volunteers, while also matching volunteers with opportunities that suit their skills and interests. The coordinator will also serve as an ambassador to the community, keeping volunteers engaged with Westborough Connects.
The role will report to Executive Director Kelley Petralia to support the overall philanthropic fundraising efforts of Westborough Connects, while leading and expanding the organization’s growing volunteer base.
Applicants are expected to have a passion for kindness, service, diversity and inclusion. Applicants should also have strong interpersonal and communication skills while working in a collaborative environment.
The role currently offers hybrid work, with some evening and weekend hours required. Preferred candidates will be multilingual and have previous volunteer coordinator experience.
